Anderson Plaza, Decatur, <br /> Illinois, 62523, until 10.30A.M.,August 17, 2017, and thereafter publicly opened and read. <br /> DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT: <br /> The proposed improvement is officially known as: <br /> 2017 CDBG SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENT PROJECT <br /> CITY PROJECT 2017-21 <br /> The proposed project herein specified and described includes the following work: <br /> The proposed improvement, CDBG Sidewalk Improvement Project, designated as <br /> City Project 2017-21, consists of removing and replacing sidewalk sections that <br /> are not in compliance with Americans with Disabilities Act standards in the Old <br /> Kings Orchard and GM Square neighborhoods of the City. The work includes <br /> over 21,000 Square Feet of PCC sidewalk replacement, utility adjustments, <br /> sidewalk grinding, and various items of restoration. <br /> INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS: <br /> 1. This project is utilizing Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds and is <br /> subject to all Federal Rules and Regulations included in these contract documents. <br /> 2. Plans, specifications and proposal forms may be obtained from Decatur Blue Print, <br /> Inc., 230 West Wood Street, Decatur, Illinois, 62523, (217) 423-7589, <br /> www.decaturblue.com. <br /> 3. A MANDATORY PRE-BID MEETING will be held on August 3, at 11:00 AM <br /> local time in the Public Works Conference Room on the 3rd floor of the Decatur <br /> Civic Center. In addition to project questions, the opportunity will be provided to <br /> discuss the City of Decatur's Minority Participation Goals for Public Works Contracts <br /> and to explain the Section 3 bid preference and hiring goals required for this HUD <br /> Section 3 project. Attendance at this meeting is required to bid on the project. <br /> 4. Payment shall be made to Decatur Blue Print, Inc.
