Item Coversheet Page 1 of 1 <br /> In <br /> Information Technology <br /> DATE: 10/16/2017 <br /> MEMO: 2017-04 <br /> TO: Honorable Mayor Julie Moore Wolfe and City Council <br /> FROM: Tim Gleason,City Manager <br /> James Edwards,Director Information Technology Department <br /> SUBJECT: Microsoft Office 365(2013)3`d Annual Licensing Fulfillment <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends that City Council approve the attached resolution,authorizing the City Manager <br /> to execute an agreement with CDW-G,for Microsoft Office 365,fulfilling the 3`d year of a 3 year subscription licensing agreement approved by <br /> City Council and signed by City Manager in 2015. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> The City has standardized on the Microsoft Office 365 productivity software suite and has been utilizing the Office 365 <br /> "subscription service"for the past two years.Many City Staff employees utilize more than one computer device where Microsoft <br /> Office product is required in their roles.This subscription purchase for Office 365 allows employees to use the product on as many <br /> as 5 different devices with a single license. The City does need to purchase additional licenses for any user using more than one <br /> device. <br /> The quote received for this agreement is attached. The proposed vendor,CDW-G,has the Illinois Large Account Reseller(LAR)agreement with <br /> Microsoft for government entities and therefore provides the lowest purchase price for this product.
