Item Coversheet Page 1 of 1 <br /> in <br /> Police Department <br /> DATE: 10/16/2017 <br /> MEMO: 17-66 <br /> TO: The Honorable,Mayor Julie Moore Wolfe <br /> Council Members <br /> FROM: Timothy A.Gleason,City Manager <br /> James E.Getz Jr.,Chief of Police <br /> SUBJECT: The purpose of this memorandum is to request authorization to amend the OSSI annual service agreement between the <br /> City of Decatur,the Central Illinois Regional Dispatch Center,and Superion,LLC. <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: It would be the recommendation of staff that the annual Superion-OSSI maintenance <br /> agreement be amended to allow the Central Illinois Regional Dispatch Center (CIRDC)to assume the responsibility for certain <br /> portions of the agreement beginning on January 1,2018. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> The City of Decatur signed an annual maintenance agreement with SunGard Public Sector Inc.in October 2011. SunGard Public <br /> Sector Inc.was acquired by,and is currently operated by,Superion LLC. The agreement is renewed each year. The last renewal <br /> period was approved on June 5,2017 for the commencement date of June 1,2017 and expiring on May 31,2018. With the <br /> establishment of the CIRDC,the agreement with Superion needs to be amended to allow the CIRDC to assume responsibility for <br /> certain portions of the software and software maintenance agreement beginning on January 1,2018.
