NOTICE OF PROPOSED PROPERTY TAX INCREASE FOR THE CITY OF DECATUR,ILLINOIS IN MACON COUNTY I. A public hearing to approve a proposed property tax levy increase for the City of Decatur for 2017 will be held on December 4,2017 at 5:30 pm in the City Council Chambers on the Yd Floor of the Decatur Civic Center. The proposed corporate property taxes to be levied for 2017 tax levy are$12,804,468.00. This represents a 5.4%increase over the previous year. 111. The property taxes extended for debt service for the 2016 tax levy were$1,713,676.71. The estimated property taxes to be levied for debt service for the 2017 tax levy are $1,072,332.28. This represents a decrease of 37.4%over the previous year. IV. The total property taxes extended or abated for the 2016 tax levy were$13,863,256.83. The estimated total property taxes to be levied for the 2017 tax levy are$13,876,800.00. This represents a 0.10%increase over the previous year.
