RESOLUTION NO. R2017-137 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND ACKNOWLEDGING RECEIVING OF GRANT <br /> FUNDS FROM THE HOWARD G. BUFFETT FOUNDATION FOR THE <br /> NEIGHBORHOOD REDEVELOPMENT COMPONENT OF THE CITY COMMUNITY <br /> REVITALIZATION INITIATIVE <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, <br /> ILLINOIS: <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Decatur has initiated a Community Revitalization program to <br /> stimulate and restore the community through a wide ranging public driven process that will spur <br /> growth, regeneration, economic, and community and resident development; and, <br /> WHEREAS, a significant portion of this initiative will involve work designed to <br /> regenerate and revitalize the city's neighborhoods. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> DECATUR, ILLINOIS does hereby authorize the City Manager to enter into an agreement <br /> between the City of Decatur and the Howard G. Buffett Foundation to accept a donation in the <br /> amount of One Million Dollars ($1,000,000) to be applied specifically to the neighborhood <br /> redevelopment component of the City's Community Revitalization initiative. <br /> PRESENTED AND ADOPTED this 20'day of November, 2017. <br /> Julie Moor Wolfe, Mayor <br /> Att t: <br /> d, <br /> Debra G.
