PUBLIC WORKS MEMORANDUM <br /> NO. 2018-02 <br /> DATE: January 23,2018 <br /> TO: Honorable Mayor Moore Wolfe and City Council Members <br /> FROM: Tim Gleason, City Manager <br /> Matt Newell, P.E.,Interim Public Works Director <br /> SUBJECT: Agreement with AECOM for the Ellen and Division Inflow and Infiltration <br /> Reduction Project, City Project 2018-01 and a Change Order to the <br /> Agreement with ADS Environmental Services, Inc. for the 2017 Flow <br /> Monitoring Services, <br /> City Project 2017-01 <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: <br /> It is recommended that the City Council approve the attached Resolution authorizing the Mayor <br /> to sign, and the City Clerk to attest: <br /> 1. A Professional Engineering Services Agreement between the City of Decatur and <br /> AECOM Technical Services, Inc. (AECOM)to provide professional services for the <br /> Ellen and Division Basin Inflow and Infiltration Reduction Project for a total fee not to <br /> exceed $356,767. <br /> 2. A Change Order to the Agreement between the City of Decatur and ADS Environmental <br /> Services (ADS)to provide professional services for the 2017 Target Area Flow <br /> Monitoring Services to assist the City with preparing the sewer system reports and tasks <br /> required by the Administrative Consent Order. Change Order No. 1 adds $88,674.00 to <br /> the existing $462,944.28 Agreement for a total fee of$551,618.28. <br /> PRIOR COUNCIL ACTION: <br /> See Appendix A. <br /> SANITARY SEWER PRIORITIES: <br /> Under the direction of the City Council,the Public Works Department has established four <br /> priorities to improve the City's sanitary sewer collection system as defined in the Sanitary Sewer <br /> Master Plan. <br /> 1. Critical Large Diameter Sewer Rehabilitation. <br /> 2. Sanitary Sewer Overflows Due to Inflow and Infiltration. <br /> 3. System Operation and Maintenance <br /> 4. Small Diameter Sewer Rehabilitation <br />
