AMENDMENT TO EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT <br /> FOR CITY MANAGER,TIM GLEASON <br /> This Amendment to Employment Agreement for Tim Gleason is entered into this 19th <br /> day of March, 2018,by and between the City of Decatur, Illinois (City), an Illinois municipal <br /> corporation, and Tim Gleason(City Manager). <br /> WHEREAS,the parties have previously entered into and executed an Employment <br /> Agreement dated March 16,2015,which became effective on March 23,2015,which <br /> Employment Agreement the parties now wish to amend as set forth herein; and <br /> WHEREAS, said Employment Agreement shall remain fully enforceable and effective, <br /> as written, except as to the matters expressly amended or modified as set forth herein. <br /> NOW,THEREFORE, for and in consideration of the mutual covenants,warranties and <br /> agreements contained herein,the parties hereto do hereby covenant and agree as follows: <br /> Section 1. The Employment Agreement previously executed as set forth above shall <br /> remain in full force and effect, as written, except as may be modified or amended as expressly <br /> set forth below. <br /> Section 2. Article IV: Term of Employment. Section 4.1: The original City <br /> Manager's Employment Agreement provided that it expired on March 23, 2018,as the initial <br /> term. The parties of the Agreement agree and acknowledge that the subsequent term of two(2) <br /> years as set forth in Paragraph 4.1(b)shall take effect beginning March 23, 2018 and that this <br /> Agreement shall be extended until March 23,2020. The term of this Agreement may be <br /> extended for an additional one year term on conditions mutually agreeable to the Council and <br /> City Manager. <br /> Section 3. Section A.1. Compensation Benefit Policy attached to the Employment <br /> Agreement under A. Compensation 1. Salary. Shall be amended that the City Manager shall <br /> receive a salary at the annual rate of$176,507.00, commencing March 23, 2018. <br /> Section 4. Section B.1. of the Compensation Benefit Policy attached to the <br /> Employment Agreement provides under(B)Benefits 1.Vacations. Shall be amended that the <br /> City Manager,effective March 23,2018 and on each anniversary date thereafter, shall receive <br /> twenty-five duty days for vacation. <br /> Section 5. Section B.1. of the Compensation Benefit Policy attached to the <br /> Employment Agreement sets forth the benefits for City Manager. The parties to this <br /> Amendment agree to add to Section B.9. Sick Leave Compensation. The Agreement is amended <br /> to provide: <br /> City Manager shall receive a lump sum payment equal to <br /> 100%of the value of the unused sick days accrued during <br /> City Manager's employment.
