SDECATUR-19 1 <br /> 1�L <br /> FESTIVAL <br /> February 8, 2018 <br /> Memo To: Billy Tyus <br /> Deputy City Manager <br /> From: Decatur's Smokin BBQ Festival <br /> Teri Hammel <br /> The Producer/Director LaVelle Peete and the Board for the Decatur's Smokin BBQ Festival would like to <br /> request space downtown to hold the 2nd Annual Decatur's Smokin BBQ Festival downtown. <br /> The dates are October 50—6th,2018. The festival will incorporate a Sanctioned Kansas City BBQ <br /> competition with participants from all over the United States. The plan includes music in Central Park <br /> along with family activities and food and art and craft vendors. There is to be a designated area for craft <br /> beers and a car show. <br /> The tentative layout is attached. Please let me know if you have any questions. <br /> Proceeds for this event will go toward a scholarship in memory of Selma Know Peete. <br />
