The non-for-profit <br /> organization has a mission `to bring people together to enjoy a <br /> culinary experience and fundraiser for the Selma Knox (Peete) <br /> Scholarship for students to attend Richland Community College <br /> Culinary Program". After expenses are paid, all remaining funds <br /> will go towards the Scholarship. <br /> About the Selma (Knox)Peete Scholarship <br /> The scholarship was created in memory of <br /> LaVell's mother, Selma (Knox) Peete, <br /> who passed away in June of 2016. <br /> LaVell remembers her as the <br /> "greatest cook ever" and credits her <br /> for his love and passion for cooking. <br /> LaVell hopes the scholarship will give <br /> other culinary enthusiasts the chance <br /> to further their education in the industry <br /> and make their dreams of a Culinary Career a reality. <br />
