RESOLUTION NO.2018- 5 5 <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A GRANT FROM THE ILLINOIS HOUSING <br /> DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY'S ABANDONED RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY <br /> MUNICIPALITY RELIEF PROGRAM <br /> WHEREAS,the City of Decatur(the"Sponsor")has been awarded a grant(the"Grant")from <br /> the Illinois Housing Development Authority(the"Authority")program administrator of the Abandoned <br /> Residential Property Municipality Relief Program(the"Program"). <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. The Illinois Housing Development Authority has issued to the City of Decatur that <br /> certain Conditional Commitment Letter (together with any amendments thereto, the "Commitment"), <br /> pursuant to which the Authority has agreed to issue a grant from the Abandoned Residential Property <br /> Municipal Relief Program to the City of Decatur in an amount not to exceed One Hundred Twenty-Five <br /> Thousand Dollars ($125,000) and the City of Decatur will use the Grant funds solely and exclusively for <br /> eligible activities in connection with Program and for no other purpose; <br /> Section 2. That the Mayor of the Sponsor, the City Manager, Deputy City Manager and the <br /> Director of Economic and Community Development of the Sponsor are hereby authorized and <br /> empowered to execute and deliver in the name of or on behalf of the Sponsor the Commitment, the <br /> Agreement and any and all amendments, modifications and supplements thereto, and to execute and <br /> deliver such additional documents, instruments and certificates, as may be necessary or desirable for the <br /> Sponsor to perform its obligations under the Agreement; <br /> Section 3. That the Mayor, the City Manager, Deputy City Manager and Director of Economic <br /> and Community Development be and hereby are authorized and directed to take such additional actions, <br /> to make further determinations, to pay such costs and to execute and deliver such additional instruments <br /> (including any amendments, Agreements or supplements) as he or she deems necessary or appropriate to <br /> carry into effect the foregoing resolutions; <br /> Section 4.
