Anderson Plaza, <br /> Decatur, Illinois, 62523, until 10:00 A.M., Thursday, April 26, 2018, and thereafter publicly <br /> opened and read. <br /> DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT: <br /> The proposed improvement is officially known as: <br /> 2018 LOCAL MOTOR FUEL TAX <br /> STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT <br /> CITY PROJECT 2018-25 <br /> The proposed project herein specified and described includes the following work: <br /> The placement of approximately 5,500 tons of Hot-Mix Asphalt and 9,000 square <br /> yards of processing soil-cement on various streets in the City of Decatur. There <br /> will also be about 2,500 feet of curb and gutter, 13,500 square feet of sidewalk, <br /> and 1,000 square yards of Class B patches. There will be alternate bids for <br /> additional streets totaling an additional 1,500 tons of Hot-Mix Asphalt if all parts <br /> of all alternate streets are chosen, as well as additional curb and sidewalk work. <br /> The work includes pavement removal, utility adjustments, thermoplastic pavement <br /> marking, traffic control, landscaping, and other related work items. <br /> INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS: <br /> 1. In addition to <br /> project questions, the opportunity will be provided to discuss the City's minority <br /> participation goals.
