DEFINITIONS <br /> SMALL WIRELESS FACILITY: A wireless facilitv that meets both of the followin� <br /> qualifications: (i) each antenna is located inside an enclosure of no more than 6 cubic feet in <br /> volume or, in the case of an antenna that has exposed elements,the antenna and all of its <br /> exposed elements could fit within an ima i�na , enclosure of no more than 6 cubic feet; and <br /> (ii)all other wireless equipment attached directiv to a utilit,v_pole associated with the facilitv <br /> is cumulatively no more than 25 cubic feet in volume. The followin�types of associated <br /> ancillar,y equipment are not included in the calculation of ec�uipment volume: electric meter, <br /> concealment elements,telecommunications demarcation box, �round-based enclosures, <br /> �roundin�equipment,power transfer switch, cut-off switch, and vertical cable runs far the <br /> connection of power and other services. <br /> WIRELESS COMMUNICATION FACILITY: Any tower, pole, antenna or other structure, <br /> includin�small wireless facilit�intended for use in connection with transmission or receipt of <br /> radio or television signals, or any other spectrum-based transmissions/receptions. <br /> WIRELESS FACILITY: Equipment at a fixed location that enables wireless communications <br /> between user equipment and a communications network, includin�: (iLquipment associated <br /> with wireless communications; and(ii)radio transceivers, antennas, coaxial or fiber-optic <br /> cable,regular and backu�power supplies, and comparable equipment, re�ardless of <br /> technolo�ical configuration. Wireless facility includes small wireless facilities. Wireless <br /> facilitv does not include: (i)the structure or improvements on,under, or within which the <br /> equipment is collocated; or(ii)wireline backhaul facilities, coaxial or fiber-optic cable that is <br /> between wireless support structures or utilit�poles or coaxial, or fiber-optic cable that is <br /> otherwise not immediately adjacent to or directly associated with an antenna. <br /> SECTION XXVII WIRELESS FACILITIES <br /> A. PURPOSE AND INTENT <br /> It is the purpose and intent of this Section to protect the health, safety and general welfare of the <br /> people of Decatur, in a manner consistent with the provisions of the Federal Telecommunications <br /> Act of 1996, the Small Wireless Facilities Deplovment Act of 2018 (Public Act 100-0585 of <br /> Illinois),and Chapter 41.2 Small Wireless Facilities of the City Code of the City of Decatur.
