�: ��r�� �i���':e ���. <br /> PARCEL 5 <br /> A sixteen(16)foot alley located between Block 1 and Block 2 of Durfee Warren &Co. lst <br /> Addition as per plat recorded in Book 50 on page 366 of the records in the Recorder's Of�ce of <br /> Macon County, Illinois and North of Sellers Resurvey as per plat recorded in Book 1575 on page <br /> 08 in said Recorder's Office, said alley being more particularly described as follows: <br /> Beginning at the Southeast corner of Lot 1 in Block 1 of said Durfee Warren & <br /> Co. lst Addition; thence South to the Northeast corner of Lot 1 in Block 2 of said <br /> Durfee Warren&Co. lst Addition; thence West along the North lot lines of Lot 1 <br /> in said Block 2 of said Durfee Wanen&Co. 1 st Addition, the North lot lines of <br /> Lots 2 thru 14 of said Sellers Resurvey and North lot lines of Lots 15 thru 25 of <br /> said Block 2 of said Durfee Warren&Co. lst Addition to the intersection with <br /> the East right of way line of North Franklin Street; thence Northwest along the <br /> said East right of way line of North Franklin Street to the intersection with the <br /> South lot line of Lot 25 in Block 1 of said Durfee Warren &Co. lst Addition; <br /> thence East along the South lot lines of Lot 25 thru 1 of said Block 1 of Durfee <br /> Warren&Co. lst Addition to the place of beginning. <br /> WHEREAS,a public hearing,duly noticed in the newspaper and to owners of the abutting <br /> properties,is held by the City Council at their September 4,2018 meeting,being considered under <br /> procedure for unusual circumstances; and, <br /> WHEREAS, said public rights-of-way are no longer useful to the public or to the City or <br /> to the owners of the properties abutting thereon as public rights-of-way; and, <br /> WHEREAS, no compensation shall be required as the proposed public right-of-way <br /> vacations are considered with sale of other City-owned parcels for the planned Wabash <br /> Community Care Campus that the City is a redevelopment partner of; and, <br /> WHEREAS,all appropriate utility companies were contacted and expressed no objections <br /> to the proposed vacations; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the public interest will be subserved by vacating said public rights-of-way <br /> and the public will be relieved from the further burden and responsibility of maintaining the same. <br /> NOW,THEREFORE,BE TT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That upon the condition set forth below, the above described public rights-of- <br /> way be,and the same is hereby vacated inasmuch as the same is no longer required for public use <br /> and the public interest will be subserved by such vacations, said public rights-of-way being shown <br /> on the plats thereof hereto attached and hereby made a part hereof. <br />
