6 IDEN�iIFICATION OF T�IE CITY OF DECATUR The Contractor shall indeznnify and save harmless, the City of Decatur, Illinais fram liability far any injury or damages to persons or property resulting fram his prosecution of wark under the contract or failure to ccrmpiy with any of the conditions ar pxovisions of this contract. 7. INSURAI�ICE a. The Contractar sbail carry or require that there be carried Warkmen`s Campensation for all his employees and thase of kais subcontractors engaged in wark at the various sites in accordance with laws of the State of Iilinois. b. The Contractcrr shall carry or require that #here be carried Manufacturer`s and Contractor's Public Liability Insurance in an amounfi not less than $500,000 pex occurrez�ce ca�nbined single Ii�it for bodily injury and property damage, which instzrance shall inciude contractual liability coverage,to protect th,e contractar and his subcontractor and the City against clairns for injury or death or damage to property due to accidents which may occur ar result frona operations under this contract. Such insurance shall cover the use of all equipment, haists and mt�tor vehicles on the site ar otherwise engaged in the prosecution vf the work requ�red hereunder. 8. GUARANTEE The Contractor shall guarantee the work performed for a period of one year from the date of final acceptanae of all the work xeguired by this agreeznent. Furtherrnore,the Contractor must �urnish the City of Decatur, actirag on behalf of the owner, all manufacturer's and supplier's written guaxantees and warranties covering materials and equipmerzt fiarnished under the Contract. Any defects that appear within this twelve(12}month period and arise out of defective or impropex rnateria.ls ax workmanship sha11,upon written direction of the City Qf Decatur,acting on behalf of the ownear, be corrected and made good by the Contractor at the contractor's expense. 9. INTEREST 4F CERTAIN OFFICIALS No officer, emplayee, ar nnember of the governing body of the City who exercises any functions or responsibilities in connection with the carrying aut of#he Project to which this contract pertains,shall have any private interest,direct or indirect, in this contract. 10. EQUAL EMPLOYMENT&BLUCI£GRANT PROGRA.M PROVISIUNS During the performance of this cantract,the Contractor agrees to comply with the Tllinois Humazi Rights Act attached here#o as E�iibit A. �JVhen ttte to#al cantract exceeds $2000 Block Grant provisions�will apply.
