Item Coversheet Page 1 of 1 <br /> � <br /> City Manager <br /> DATE: 10/15/2018 <br /> MEMO: 18-39 <br /> TO: Honorable Mayor Julie Moore Wolfe and Decatur City Council Members <br /> FROM: Billy Tyus,Interim City Manager <br /> Raymond Lai,AICP,Economic and Community Development Director <br /> SUBJECT: Expansion of I-OL Institutional Overlay District over the underlying O-1 Office District(Decatur Memorial Health <br /> Foundation) <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of the expansion of the I-OL Institutional Overlay District <br /> that currently encompasses the Decatur Memorial Hospital Campus.The City Plan Commission voted 7-0 to recommend approval <br /> of this petition at the October 4,2018 meeting;the draft minutes of the meeting are attached. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> The 0.56 acre subject site is located at 301 West Hay Street and is zoned O-1 Office District.The property is owned by the Decatur <br /> Memorial Health Foundation and the building is owned by Ventas Incorporated. Currently,the building on the property is vacant <br /> and was formerly a medical office building.
