17. SEVERABILITY. The provisions hereof are, and shall be construed to be <br /> severable, and invalidity of any section or provision of this Chapter of or the codes and standards <br /> hereby adopted shall not invalidate other sections or provisions hereof. <br /> 18. REPEALED. That existing provisions of ordinances not in conformity with the <br /> provisions of this Chapter are,to the extent of such nonconformity,amended,modified or repealed <br /> so as to conform with the provisions hereof. <br />
