Perry,Purchasing Supervisor <br /> SUBJECT: Resolurion Accepting the Bid Price of CDS Office Technologies for the purchase of new Toughbook computers <br /> for recently purchased Six(6)2019 Ford Police Interceptors. <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staffrecommends awarding a purchase order in the amount of$28,140 for the <br /> purchase of six(6)Toughbook computers and associated mounting for(2)2019 Ford Police K-9 Interceptors and four(4)2019 <br /> Ford Police Interceptors. <br /> BACKGROUND: The City of Decatur Police Deparirnent has Six(6)new 2019 Ford Police Interceptors on order that were <br /> approved by previous council action. Police vehicles come from the manufacturer without the standard equipment required by <br /> the Police Department which enables them to be used for police funcrions. This specific resolution includes the purchase of six <br /> (6)new Toughbook computers and associated mounting hardware to be used in these new vehicles. <br /> PRIOR COUNCIL ACTION: Council approved the purchase of Six(6)2019 Ford SiIV Police Interceptors in the amount <br /> of$178,310.00 on August 6,2018,Resolution No.R2018-98. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTIONS: None Anticipated <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: Information Technology wrote the bid specifications based on Police Depariment <br /> requirements. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Jim Edwards,Director of Information Technology <br /> BUDGET/TIME IMPLICATIONS: The$28,140 cost for tkris purchase will be included in financing being obtained for the <br /> purchase of the vehicles approved on August 6,2018 by Resolution No. R2018-98. <br /> ATTACHMENTS: <br /> Description Type <br /> Resolution Resolution Letter <br /> Bid Sheet Backup Material <br />
