a ° IntergovernmentaI Agreement for the Sharing of Certain Casts Related to the Maintenance of Traffic Signals in Macan County, IL,Between the City of Decatur and the County of Macon,lllinois. RES4LUTION NO. H-2134-11-18 WHEREAS,the County of Macon is desirous of traffic signal maintenance on signal systems Iocated on various County Highways in Macan County; and WHEREAS,the City af Decatur is desirous of traffic signal maintenance an signal systems located on variaus County Highways in the City gf Decatur; and WHEREAS,the County of Macon is a body politic and corporate in the State of Illinois; and WHEREAS,the City of Decatur is a body politic and corporate in the State of Illinois; and VYHEREAS,the 1974 Illinais Constitution, Art. VII, Section 10 and 5 ILCS 22013 provide authority far intergovernmental co-operation; WHEREAS, the Decatur City Cotmcil believes the traffic signal maintenance will be af benefit to the health, safety and welfare ofthe residents of Macon County; Illinais, and 't�HEREAS, the Chairman and Macon County Board believe the traffic signat maintenance will be of benefit to the health, safety and welfare of the residents of Macon Caunty; Illinois. NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual agreement contained in this agreement, the City of Decatur and the County of Macan a�ree as follows, subject to aet�al canstruction costs. 1. The City of Decatur agrees to perform necessary maintenance an traffic signal systems located on County Highways in Macon County as per the attached agreement. 2. The County of Macon agrees to reimburse the City Qf Decatur for necessary maintenance an traffic sig�nal systems located on County Highways in Macon Caunty as per the attached agreement. 3. This agreement sha11 be in fu11 force and effect upon its approval by the City of Decatur and the Macon County Board, and shall inure to th� benetit of tlie City of Decatur, its successors and assigns, and the Macon County Board, until the roadway impravements are completed and all related costs therefore are paid ar the project is canceiled.
