Economic&Community Development <br /> DATE: 1213/20I& <br /> MEMO: No. 18-4 <br /> TO: Honorable Mayor Julie Moore Wolfe and City Council Members <br /> FROM: Billy Tyus,Interirn City Manager <br /> Raymond Tai,Director af Economic and Camrnunity Deveiopment <br /> John Williams,Mass Transit Administrator <br /> SUBJECT: <br /> Resolutian Authorizing the Execution of Purchase Order with Carpet Weaver's for Replacement of Floor Coverings at the <br /> Transit Administration Building and Transit Center. <br /> SUIVIMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff recornmends acceptance of a quote from and execution af purchase order with <br /> Carpet Weaver's af Decatur,IL in the amaunt of$21,500.00,funded thraugh a 5307 Federat Transit Adtninrstration grant,to <br /> replace the aging amt wom floar covering at the Transit Administration Building a�Transit Center. <br /> BACKGRUUND: <br /> The Transportation improvement Alan(TTP}describes a11 elements of the Capital and Operating projects for Decatur Public <br /> Transit System These projects are approved by the Technicai and Poticy Committees af the Decatur Urbanized Area <br /> Transportation Study(DUATS). Replacernent of floor covering was identified in the approved TIP. Preserrtly,flooring at the <br /> administration building is frayed,discolored,unatlractive and warn out. Most af the flooring was installed in 1996. <br /> In accordance with City and Federal procurement procedures,Transit staff advertised and received quotes ta replace the aging <br /> and urorn floaring at the Transit Aclministxation Building and Transit Center locatians.
