Zientara, City Treasurer&Director of Finance <br /> SUBJECT: Resolution Authorizing the City of Decatur to provide an Interfund Cash <br /> Advance to the Major Moves Fund <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: <br /> City Administration recommends City Council approval of the attached Council <br /> Resolution. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> With Council Resolution R2017-91, City Council approved engagement of Quetica, LLC <br /> to perform a Supply Chain Study, City Public Works Project 2014-06, Midwest Inland <br /> Port Transportation Plan, in the amount of$288,530. <br /> Further, with Council Resolution R2017-90, City Council approved acceptance of a grant <br /> from the Illinois Deparhnent of Transportation, to fund a portion of the Quetica Supply <br /> Chain Study, in the amount of$230,020. <br /> Further, non-grant funding in the amount of $58,510 was defined to be provided by <br /> supportive contributions from the Macon County and Decatur Economic Development <br /> Corporation, Macon County and the City of Decatur in the following amounts: <br /> • EDC $27,000 <br /> • Macon County $15,755 <br /> • CityofDecatur $15,755 <br /> • Total $58,510 <br /> Due to the timing of the work we only recently were able to request payment but the <br /> funding has not yet been received, although we would exper,t that it will occur by early <br /> January. <br /> The Council Resolution herewith is requested for approval as a precautionary measure in <br /> the event that the City of Decatur does not receive supportive project contributions before <br /> December 31,2018. <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br />
