QRDINANCE NQ.2018- 8 Q AN ORDINANCE ABATING THE PROPERTY TAX LEVY FOR THE CITY OF DECATUR,ILLINOIS FC?R GENERAL UBLIGATI4N 2417 SERIES BONDS WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 2017-52 passed and adapted on December 18, 2017, the City Council of the City of Decatur, Iliinais, caused general obligatian bonds of the City ta be issued and did levy therein certain sums to pay principal and interest an said bonds; and WHEREAS, funds other than those raised by general taxation have or will becorne available to timely pay such principal and interest as the same become due in fiscal year comrnencing January l, 2019 and endin�December 31, 2019. NUW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDANIED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That the following tax levies for interest on and principal of the indicated bonds for the year commencing January l,2019 and ending December 31, 2019,be,and the sarne are hereby abated as fallows: Ordinance No and Bond Issue Ordinance Tax Levy Abatement Net Tax Levy 2017-52 GO Bond Series 2017 l,130,750.00 l,130,750.00 0.00 Section 2. That the County Clerk ofthe County of Macon, lllinois, be, and is hereby authorized and directed to fully abate said Ievy and to extend the same as so abated for the 2018 assessed value year with praperty tax payable in 2019. Sectian 3. That the City C1erk be, and is hereby autharized and directed to cause a certified copy of this Ordinance to be filed with the County Clerk of the County of Macon,Illinais.
