The City Plan Commission voted 5-0 to recommend approval of tlus petition at the <br /> December 6,2018 meeting;the relevant minutes of the meeting are attached. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> The property located at 3373 North Woodford Street is currently wned both B-2 Commercial District and M-1 Intense <br /> Commercial-Light Industrial District. The northern portion of the property proposed to be re-zoned consists of appro�cimately <br /> 0.46 acres and is a parking lot and part of an animal shelter building. On the southern part of the parcel, wned M-1 Irrtense <br /> Commercial-Light Industrial District, there is part of that animal shelter building (Humane Society of Decatur and Macon <br /> County). <br /> The intent of the rezoning request is to create a uniform wning district for the overall property. <br /> The subject site is located within a mixed-use area and rezoning to M-1 Intense Commercial-Light industrial District should have <br /> no adverse effect on the general area or the City as a whole. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTIONS: No objectors spoke at the Plan Cornmission meeting. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: <br /> The petition has been reviewed by the City's Teclmical Review Committee;Planning,Engineering and Fire. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Any additional questions may be forwarded to Scott Dedert sdedert@decaturil.gov. <br /> BUDGET/TIME IMPLICATIONS: None � <br /> ATTACHMENTS: <br /> Description Type <br /> Ordinance Ordinance <br /> Supporting Docutnentation �3ackup Material <br />
