Getz Jr.,Chief of Police <br /> SUBJECT: Central I1linois Regional Dispatch Center(CIRDC}2019 Invaice <br /> SUMMARY RECOMM.ENDATION: <br /> It would be the recamrriendation of staff that the 2019 CIRDC annual invoice far dispatch services provided to the Decahu <br /> Police Depatiment and the Decatur Fire Departtnerrt, at a total cost of$1,742,293.40, be paid. The invoice would be paid in <br /> quarterly installments of$435,573.35. The breakdown of tl�e 2Q19 invoice is as foilows: <br /> Decatur Police Departrnent--$1,45Q,627.23 <br /> Decatur Fire Depart�nt--$291,6b6.17 <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> On June 5, 2017,under Resolution 2017-76, the Council approved the City of Decatur entering into an Intergovernmental <br /> Agreement with the Centra] Illinois Regionai Dispatch Center{CIRDC). The CIRDC began providing dispatch services to the <br /> City of Decatur, Decatur Police Departrnent, and the Decatur Fire Departrnent on January 1, 2p18. The user fees for the <br /> CFRDC are based on calls for service for each user agency throug�aut Macan County. Tl�e Decatur Police Departrr�nt and the <br /> Decatur Firc Depat�tment are the largest palice and fire agencies within Macon County, <br /> PRIOR COUNCII.ACT10N: There has been no prior Council action related to this invoice.
