The AIS has been identified by staff to focus use on off-road lines where setup for cleaning can be <br /> very difficult, and for use during cold weather when cleaning equipment cannot be used. The results <br /> will allow crews to only focus cleaning efforts on problem segments. The AISs are approved by the <br /> EPA to be used as a sanitary sewer system maintenance tool. The City plans include the use of the <br /> AIS to meet the goals set in the City's Capacity, Management, Operation and Maintenance (CMOM) <br /> Manual. <br /> The AIS also provides a web-based software for inspection mapping, logging and tracking. <br /> Specifications were prepared by the Engineering Division; three bid packages were sent out and the <br /> City's Purchasing Division received one bid.
