Perry,Purchasing Supervisor <br /> SUBJECT: Resolution Accepting the State of Illinois Bid Price of Morrow Brothers Ford Inc.,for the Purchase of One(1) <br /> 2018 Ford SUV Explorer <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: <br /> Staff recommends awarding a contract in the amount of$ 29,785.00 to Morrow Brothers Ford Inc. for one (1) 2018 Ford SUV <br /> Explorer. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> The City of Decatur Economic and Community Development Department has requested one (1) new vehicle to replace one (1) <br /> 1998 Chevrolet Astro Van with 67,996 miles. This vehicle is being purchased with funds from the Department of Housing and <br /> Urban Development and will be used by the Neighborhood Services Division. This unit is being replaced due to its age and <br /> condition. The normal life expectancy is ten (10) years. If approved, the replacement vehicle is estimated to be delivered in 90 <br /> days. <br /> DISPOSAL OF REPLACED UNITS: The one vehicle to be replaced will be sold/auctioned at a later date. <br /> OTHER BIDDERS: Bob Ridings, Inc. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTIONS: There are no known objections. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: Fleet Maintenance section of the Public Works Department,wrote the bid specifications <br /> based on federal requirements and procurements. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Raymond Lai,Director of Economic and Community Development;Dan Mendenall Municipal Services <br /> Manager; and Richelle D.
