Resolutian R 2 01 9-2 2 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SUPPORT OF A LOW INCOME HOUSING TAX <br /> CREDIT APPLICATION BIT GREENWUOI}PRESERVATION,LLC,WITH ILLINOIS <br /> HOUSING DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY F4R THE RENOVATION OF <br /> GREENWOOD MANOR APARTMENTS <br /> WHEREAS, the Decatur City Cauncil has received a request from Greenwood <br /> Preservation, LLC, for support of their application to the Illinois Hausing Development <br /> Authority (IHDA) for law income housing tax credits to finance renavation of the aging 108-unit <br /> Greenwood Manor Apartments for use as Affardable Housing Apartments; and <br /> WHEREAS,the City Cc�uncil as part of the Community Revitalization effort deems it in <br /> the public interest and general welfare of the City that affordable rental housing that is <br /> accessible, energy efficient, healthy, safe and well-maintained be made available ta the residents <br /> of the City of Decatur; and <br /> NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF DECATUR,ILLINOIS,AS FOLLOWS: <br /> SECTION 1. The City Cauncil of Decatur hereby supparts the applicatian made by <br /> Greenwoad Preservatian, LLC to the Illinois Housing Development Authority for Low Incarne <br /> Housing Tax Credits for renavation of the existing 108-unit apartment complex known as ' <br /> Greenwaad Manar Apartments and praviding Affordable Hausing as part of the Community <br /> Revitalizatian effarts af the City of Decatur. <br /> SECTION 2. The City Cauncil hereby autharizes Mayor Julie Moore Wolfe, City <br /> Council and Interim City Manager and/or Director af Economic and Cammunity Development to <br /> provide letters of suppart and related documentation necessary to secure threshold points in <br /> support of Greenwood Preservation, LLC's efforts in applying for Low Income Housing Tax <br /> Credits fram the Illinois Hausing Development Autharity. <br /> PRESENTED AND ADflPTED this 4TH day of F'ebruary 2019 <br /> Julie Moore Wo�f ayor <br />
