The cost for Year(1)is$20,647.31,Year(2)is <br /> $21,473.20 and Year(3)is $22,232.13. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> In 2013 the City entered into an agreement with Johnson Controls, Inc, to provide an Advanced Water Metering system that read <br /> water meters remotely through a repeater and collector system which automatically uploads water use information to the City. The <br /> City began using Itron's Analytics Hosting Services in May of 2015, to provide staff with the ability to better analyze and use the <br /> data that is gathered by the Itron water meter system. The Analytics software helps City staff to better review the active use of the <br /> water system which, among other things, helps find water leaks on private property and the illegal use of City water. Utility <br /> Customer Service and Water Services staff use the software on a daily basis. . <br /> Staff is recommending a 3-year expenditure of$64,452.64 for the software system and hosting services. <br /> LEGAL REVIEW: There are no contracts for Legal to review. <br /> PRIOR COUNCIL ACTION: <br /> May 18,2015,City Council approved Maintenance Agreement. <br /> August 26,2015 the City Manager approved an addendum for Analytics Cloud Services to be added to the original Itron Inc. <br /> Maintenance Agreement. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTIONS: None foreseen. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Matthew Newell,Public Works Director,Randy Miller,Water Services Manager. Matt Newell will be in <br /> attendance at the City Council meeting to answer any questions of the Council on this item. <br /> BUDGET/TIME IMPLICATIONS: <br /> Funding for the expenditure is available in the FY2019 Budget. <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br />
