Ordinance authorizing the donation of a permanent easement on City property to the County of Macon for the purpose of <br /> bridge and road construction and maintenance and other highway purposes. <br /> 2. Resolution Authorizing the Mayor to sign the following documents related to the donation of the Permanent Easement: <br /> a. Donation Approval. (Exhibit 1) <br /> b. Statement of Compliance with the Public Officers Prohibited Activities Act. (Exhibit 2) <br /> c. Affidavit of Title. (Exhibit 3) <br /> d. Receipt for ponation. (Exhibit 4) <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> The Macon County Highway Department proposes to improve Reas Bridge Road over Lake Decatur. This proposed work <br /> involves reconstructing both bridges and widening the causeway to support a 4-lane highway which will be part of the future <br /> Macon County Beltway. To facilitate the wark,the County has requested the donation of a permanent easement encompassing <br /> 7.922 acres of Lake property owned by the City as shown on the attached location maps. <br /> LEGAL REVIEW: The Legal Department was given the easement and associated documents for review. <br /> PRIOR COUNCIL ACTION: <br /> There have been no prior Council actions regarding this proposed easement. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTIONS: None. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: Macon County <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Matt Newell,Public Works Director.Matt will attend the City Council meeting to answer any questions <br /> of the Council on this item. <br /> BUDGET/TIME IMPLICATIONS: <br /> It is proposed that the permanent easement be donated to the County for their highway improvement work. <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br />
