GENFRAL CONDITIONS <br /> GC-16 METHOD OF PAYMENT (cantinued) <br /> The failure to perform any requirement, obligation, or term of the contract by the <br /> Contractar sha11 be reason for withholding any pragress payments until the Department <br /> determines that compliance has been achieved. Furthermore, progress payments may be reduced <br /> by liens filed pursuant ta Section 23{c}of the Mechanics Lien Act, 77Q ILCS b0I23{c}. <br /> GG17 NQ PARKING SIGNS <br /> The Engineering Division wiil erect "No Parking" signs 24 hours prior ta the start of <br /> work on a street, in an attetnpt to have all vehicles rernoved from the street. The City will not be <br /> held respansihle far any delays due ta the City having to have parked vehicles moved. The <br /> Contractor shall furnish the Engineer with suitable hardwaod quality lath (drawing contained in <br /> these specifications} and a suitable quality and quantity of paint to erect "Na Parking" signs, and <br /> to mark utilities. This cost will be considered incidental to the contract. <br /> GG18 PERMITS <br /> It is the Contractor's responsibility to obtain alI necessary permits. Any costs incurred in <br /> obtaining these permits are ta be incidental to the related cantract item. Permit fees will be <br /> waived for thase permits issued by the City of Decatur. <br /> GC-19 DtJCUMENTATIQN OF E�ISTING C4NDITIONS <br /> The Cantractor sha]1 provide digital video and/or detailed photographs of existing <br /> facilities along the raute or area of all construction, priar ta the start of such constructian. <br /> Construction of this facility wi11 generally be along street right-of-way containing trees, bushes, <br /> fences, driveways and similar items. Special attention shall be given to caverage of the entire <br /> easement and immediate adjacent areas which might be disturbed during construction. <br /> The videa andlor photagraphs sha11 be adequate to serve as a basis for camparison in <br /> deterrnining whether the terms of the specifications with respect to replacements, restoratian <br /> andlor preservation of existing surfaces have been complied with. Capy{s) of the videa andtor <br /> photographs takey� shall be given to the Engineer for his files. The cost for this item shall be <br /> included in the respective prices for the various items of wark. <br /> GG2Q PREVAILING WAGE RATES <br /> The Contractor shall supply the Engineer with weekly certified copies of the payroll far <br /> both the prime Contractor and their subcontractors and further comply with all State and Local <br /> rules and policies regarding Prevailing Wages. The Engineer will monitor the payroll for <br /> compliance with the applicable "prevaiiing wage rates" as required by the Special Conditions of <br /> this cantract. <br /> 40 <br />
