It is expressly understaod that the prc�posal guaranty is given as a guarantee that the bidder will execute the cantract and furnish acceptable bonds and required insurance, if awarded the wark and the azno�znt thereaf represents the agreed damages that the 4wner wili sustain if the bidder fails or refuses within ten (10) days from and including the date of the Notice of Awa�cd of the Contract, to execute and deliver said Cantract and deliver t�e required bonds and insurance shall be just cause for the cancellatian of the award and the forfeiture of the proposal guaranty whzch sha11 become the property t�f the City, nc�t as penalty, but in liquidation of damages dc�ne.
