ADDITIONS AND <br /> CHA.PTER 30 <br /> HISTORICAL A1t1D ARCHITECTURAL SITES COMMISSION <br /> l. ESTABLISHED. There is hereby created and established to advise and make <br /> recommendatians to the Council,the Historical and Architectural Sites Commissian <br /> consisting of eleven residents of the City appointed by the Mayor with the consent of the <br /> Cauncil for terms of three years and until the respective successor of each rnember is <br /> appointed and qualified, all of which said terms sl3all cammence an May 1 and as to <br /> which vacancies shall be filled by appointment for the remainder of any unexpired term. <br /> (AMENDED, Ordinance No. 2005-15,March 7, 2005) <br /> 2. RESIDENCY. All new appointees tQ tlae Comznissic�n on or after April 18, <br /> 2019 shall be residents of the City af Decatur,�'e��€�ase�, Illinois,and shall serve <br /> without compensation„ <br /> £�� This section shall not apply ta those members servi�as of April 18, 2Q19 and <br /> cantinuin�to serve without interru�tion. <br /> 3. QUALIFICATIONS. In order to properly carry out the variaus duties and <br /> responsibilities of the Commission, it is necessary and desirable that there be appointed to <br /> the Commission persons having knowledge and expertise in the fields of architecture, <br /> archaeology, history,local government, engineering, anthropology,real estate,finance, <br /> law and related disciplines. The Mayox and the Council shall attempt,insofar as <br /> practicably possible,ta appoint persans to the Camrnission such that all of the herein <br /> specified disciplines and areas of expertise are represented,but no actian or decision of <br /> the Commission shall be invalid for fa.ilure ta h�ve on the Commission, ar in attendance <br />
