RESOLUTION <br /> 19 - R - 26 <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING EXECUTION OF <br /> INTERGOVERNMENTAL LEASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN <br /> THE CITIES OF DECATUR AND CHARLESTON. ILLINOIS <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Decatur, a home rule Illinois Municipal <br /> Corporation, and the City of Charleston, an Illinois Municipal Corporation are <br /> both fully authorized to provide fire suppression and other emergency services; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of City of Decatur owns a fire apparatus commonly <br /> referred to as a ladder truck, not currently performing governmental services in the <br /> City of Decatur, and is willing to lease the same to the City of Charleston pursuant <br /> to the terms and conditions set forth in the Agreement attached hereto as Exhibit <br /> A, and incorporated herein by reference; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Charleston is presently in need of such a fire <br /> apparatus, commonly referred to as a ladder truck, for use in performing fire <br /> suppression and emergency governmental services in the City of Charleston and <br /> is willing to lease the same from the City of Decatur pursuant to the terms and <br /> conditions as set forth in the attached Agreement, styled Exhibit A; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Illinois Intergovernmental Cooperation Act provides that <br /> any one or more governmental agencies may contract with any one or more <br /> governmental agencies to perform any governmental service, activity or <br />
