Excerpts from Plan Commission Meeting of Apri14, 2019:
Case No. 19-14 Petition of MERCER RENTALS, LLC to rezone the southeastern
portion of the property located at 805 West Green Street from M-2 Heavy Industrial
District to M-1 Intense Commercial—Light Industrial District.
It was moved and seconded (Jeffery/Clevenger) to forward Case No. 19-14 to the City Council
with a recommendation of approval as set forth in the staff report.
Mr. Scott Dedert was sworn in by Mrs. Janet Poland.
Mr. Dedert discussed and presented slides of the site and surrounding properties (available for
viewing upon request) along with staff's approval of the petition based on the staff report
distributed to the Plan Commission prior to the meeting. (Staff report is on file and is available for
reviewing by request)
Mr. Jonas Ozier, representative for the petitioner, was sworn in by Mrs. Poland.
Mr. Ozier stated this is just a small section of this site that is zoned M-2 Heavy Industrial District.
The would like to create a uniform zoning district for the entire property.
There were no questions and no objectors present.
Upon call of the roll, Commission members Bill Clevenger, Terry Howley, Bruce Jeffery, Mike
Peoples, Tom Brinkoetter and Acting Chairman Kent Newton voted aye. Acting Chairman
Newton declared the motion carried.
