Exhibit A <br /> Intergovernmental Agreement for the Sharing of <br /> Certain Costs Related to the Pavement Striping of <br /> Roadways in Macon County,IL,Between the City of <br /> Decatur and the County of Macon,Illinois. <br /> RESOLUTIUN NO. H-2164-4-19 <br /> WHEREAS,the County of Macon is desirous of pavement striping improvements to various <br /> County Highways in Macon County;and <br /> WHEREAS,the City of Decatur is desirous of pavement striping improvements to various <br /> roadways in the City of Decatur; and <br /> WHEREAS,Macon County is proposing to perform a roadway striping contract for various <br /> roadways in Macon County; and <br /> WHEREAS,the County of Macon is a body politic and corporate in the Sta.te of Illinois; and <br /> WHEREAS,the City of Decatur is a body politic and corporate in the State of Illinois; and <br /> WHEREAS,the 1970 Illinois Constitution,Art.VII, Section 10 and 5 ILCS 220/3 provide <br /> authority for intergovernmental co-operation; <br /> WHEREAS,the Decatur City Council believes the pavement striping improvements will be of <br /> benefit to the health,safety and welfare of the residents of Macon County; Illinois, and <br /> WHEREAS,the Chairman and Macon County Board believe the pavement striping <br /> improvements will be of benefit to the health, safety and welfare of the residents of Macon <br /> CounTy; Illinois. � <br /> NOW THEREFORE,in consideration of the mutual agreement contained in this agreement,the <br /> City of Decatur and the County of Macon agree as follows,subject to actual construction costs: <br /> 1. The Couniy of Macon agrees to assemble and let the pavement striping contract in <br /> accordance with all applicable laws, ordinances and regulations and agrees to <br /> indemnify and hold harmless the City for any costs,awards or damages for its <br /> failure to properly do so. <br /> 2. The City of Decatur agrees to supervise the striping work performed on their <br /> roadways. <br /> 3. The County of Macon agrees to supervise the striping work performed on their <br /> roadways. <br /> 4.
