Chapter 53, <br /> Title 23, United States Code or Other Federal Statutes Administered by the Federal Transit <br /> Admirlistration <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: <br /> It is recommended by staff that this item be approved. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> Application is made each year to the Federal Transit Administration on behalf af the City of <br /> Decatur, Il for 5307 Urban Formula apportionments. These funds are apportianed to the City <br /> of Decatur and are utilized far operational assistance. The City of Decatur made appiication <br /> for twa Federal fiscal years of apportianment FY 17 and FY 18. Fiscal year 17 apportionment <br /> is in the amount of$1,b50,000 and Fiscal year 18 in the amount of$1,700,000. These fiands <br /> will be utilized to provide operational assistance to the City af Decatur Public Transit <br /> System from July 1, 2017 through June 30, of 2019.
