PUBLIC WORKS MEMORA,NDUM <br /> NO.2019-39 <br /> TIATE: May 20,2019 <br /> TO: Hanorable Mayor Maore Wolfe and City Council Members <br /> FROM: Scot Wrighton,City Manager <br /> Matt Newell,P,E., Public Works Directar <br /> SUBJECT: Ordinance Annexing Territory—2S30 Farest Crest Road <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends that the Qrdinance annexing territary <br /> at 2530 Farest Crest Raad be appraved. <br /> BACKGROUND. The subject property is contiguous to Decatur City limits, City water is <br /> currently available and connected ta the subject property. This property is being annexed due to <br /> a water service agreement. <br /> The City recently sent out thirty (30)letters advising current water service agreement holders, <br /> wha are adjacent to City limits,to submit petitions ta anr�ex. There are currently 527 praperties <br /> outside the City limits with water service agreements. Annexing the properties will be an <br /> iterative process, in that as one property a�nexes, additional properties become contiguous ta <br /> City limits. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTIQNS: None <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Matt Newell, Public Works Director and Paul Caswell, City Engineer. <br /> Matt Newell will be in attendance at the City Council meeting ta answer any questions ofthe <br /> Council on this item. <br />
