Prevailing Wage must be uaid for all applicable work nerformed under this Agreement. Copies of <br /> certified transcript of navroll must be submitted to the Citv prior to uavment to Altorfer. <br /> Chapter 28,Article 10,of the Citv Code. All vendors with PubIic Works contracts with the Citv of <br /> Decatur shall make a good faith effort to meet the Citv's Minoritv Participation Goals for all <br /> Prevailin�Wage work performed as part of this proiect. <br /> I. Description of the Minoritv Participation Goals Pro r�am_ The City of Decatur encourages the � <br /> participation of minorities and Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs)for City-funded public works <br /> contracts. To comply with Chapter 28, Section 10, of the City Code, contractors will make a <br /> good faith effort to meet the following minimum goals for all work within this project <br /> requiring the payment of Prevailing Wages: <br /> A. Subcontracting is not reguired,but if subcontracting opportunities are available, 10% of the <br /> total dollar amount of the contract should be performed by Minority Business Enterprises. ' <br /> B. Minority workers should perform 18% of the total hours worked. <br /> II. Waiver: If a contractor does not or cannot meet the City's minority participation goals for <br /> contracts, it may seek in writing a waiver. The waiver request shall include, as appropriate: <br /> A. Evidence of the contractor's good faith efforts to secure participation by MBE and minority <br /> workers; <br /> B. Evidence the contractor received no proposals or inquiries from qualified MBE or firms that <br /> employ minority workers in response to a good faith effort to secure participation. <br /> III. Record Keepin�and Reporting: For work items requiring Prevailing Wages, the Prime Contractor <br /> and subcontractors agree to maintain records demonstrative of their good faith efforts to comply <br /> with the participation goals identified in the City Code.
