Description of the Minc�rity Participatzon Goals Pzagram; The City of Decatur encaurages � <br /> the particapatian of minorities and Minority Business Enterprises(MBEs) for City-funded <br /> p�blic works contracts. To comply with Chapter 28, Seetion 10, of the City Code, <br /> cointractors will make a gqod faith effort ta meet the following minimum goals for all <br /> work within this project requiring t�e payment of Prevaiiing Wages: <br /> A. Subcontractin�is not rec�uired, but if subcontraeting oppartunities are available, 14°l� <br /> of the total dollar amount of the contract should be perforrned by Minarity Business <br /> Enterprises. � <br /> B. Minaxity warkers shouid perform 18% af the total hours worked. <br /> II. Waiver: If a contractor does not or cannot meet the City's minority participation goals�or <br /> contracts, it may seek in writing a waiver. The waiver request shall include, as appropriate; <br /> A. Evidence of the cantractor's good faitl�efforts to secure participatian by MBE and <br /> minority warkers; <br /> B. Evidence the contractor xeceived no proposals or inquxries from qualified MBE or <br /> firms that employ minarity workers in response to a good faith effort to secure <br /> participatian. <br /> III. Record K.eepin�and Reportin� F'or work iterns requiring Prevailing Wages,the Prime <br /> Contractor and suhcantractors agree to maintain records demonstrative of their gaod faith � <br /> efforts to comply with the participation goals identified in the City Cade. All infarmation, <br /> includin�subcontracting, minority participatian, and prevailing wage documentation,will <br /> be provided through ePrismSoft, an electronic web based connpliance tracking software. <br /> Access to ePrismSoft has been fuznished by the City of Decatur.
