Ordinance authorizing the sale of 154 square feet of City property located on the south side of Eldorado Street at Van Dyke <br /> Street to the State of Illinois for the sum of$1,300. <br /> 2. Ordinance authorizing a 194 square foot Temporary Construction Easement located on the south side of Eldorado Street at <br /> Van Dyke Street to the State of Illinois for the sum of$300. <br /> 3. Resolution Authorizing the Mayor to sign the following documents associated with the conveyance of City property and <br /> Temporary Construction Easement: <br /> 1. Affidavit of Title. <br /> 2. Receipt of Conveyance Documents and Disbursement Statement. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> As discussed and acted upon at the April 15,2019 City Council meeting,the Illinois Department of Transportation(IDOT)intends <br /> to complete a major street improvement along Eldorado Street between Fairview Avenue and Church Street. The work is to <br /> include the installation of sidewalk ramps for accessibility, improving traffic signals along the route and milling off the existing <br /> pavement and overlaying the road with new asphalt. <br /> The sidewalk ramp work IDOT will be doing as part of the project requires the purchase of small tracts of property at many of the <br /> intersections within the project. The City owns property on the south side of Eldorado Street next to the Norfolk Southern tracks <br /> as shown on the attached property map. IDOT proposes to purchase 154 square feet of property along with a 194 square foot <br /> temporary construction easement for the construction of an accessible sidewalk ramp. <br /> LEGAL REVIEW: The Legal Department has reviewed warranty deed,the temporary construction easement and associated <br /> documents. <br /> PRIOR COUNCIL ACTION: <br /> Apri115,2019—City Council approved Resolution No.R2019-57 appropriating$61,800 in State Motor Fuel Tax Funds to pay for <br /> the traffic signal and street light work outlined in the City-State Agreement for improvements to Eldorado Street between Church <br /> Street and Fairview Avenue. <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br />
