Exhibit C- Purpose, & Justification <br /> This rezoning application is provided at the request of Scott Dedert, Senior Planner for the City of <br /> Decatur, to simplify the city records and provide an ordinance-based framework for the subject property <br /> (we've been informed that such framework would acknowledge and consent to prior existing legal non- <br /> conformities with PMR-1 status, if any). This application and effort were borne from an effort to install a <br /> 'splash-pad' (a summertime fountain-like play area for children). Although we don't find rezoning effort <br /> necessary for such minor amenities to be outside the prior legal non-conforming use we acknowledge the <br /> benefits to the City of Decatur and the property and look forward to successful completion of the rezoning <br /> process. <br />
