BI�1 PROPOSAL <br /> RETURN WITH BID� <br /> The undersigned further agrees, if awarded the Cantract for the work included in this <br /> Proposal, to begin and to complete and deliver the work contemplated in accordance with all the <br /> conditians set forth in the Contract Dacuments. <br /> The undersigned has carefully checked the figures inserted by them and understands that they <br /> are the Bidder's sole responsibility,and the Clwner will not be responsible for any errars or amissions <br /> on the part of the under$igned Bidder in preparing this Praposal. <br /> The andersigned certifies that this Prapasa� is genuine, not callusive, ar made in the interest <br /> or behalf of any person not named as provided in the Instructian to Bidders, and that the undersigned <br /> has not, directly, or indirectly, induced ar solicited any other Bidder, or induced any o#her persan, <br /> firm, or corporation ta refrain fram subnnitting a proposal, and the undersigned has not in any manner <br /> sought by col�usian ta secure for themselves an advantage over any other Bidder. <br /> Attached, as a proposal guaranty, is a praperly certified check made payable ta "Treasurer, <br /> City of Decatur", Decatur, Illinois, in an amount not less than ten (10) pereent of the bid; ar a <br /> cashier's check made payabie to "Treasurer, City of Decatur", Decatur, Illinais, in an amount not less <br /> than ten (]0) percent of the bid; or a bid bond on a form approved by the City of Decatur, executed <br /> by a surety company satisfactory to the City in an amaunt not less than ten(10}percent of the bid. <br /> It is expressly understood that the propasal guaranty is given as a guarantee that the bidder <br /> will execute the contract and furnish acceptable bands and required insurance, if awarded the wark <br /> and the amount thereof represents the agreed damages that the t�wner will sustain if the bidder fails <br /> or refuses within ten (l 0)days frorn and including the date of the Natice of Award of the Cantract, to <br /> execute and deliver said Contract and deliver the required bonds and insurance shall be just cause for <br /> the cancellation of the award and the forfeiture of the propasal guaranty which shall became the <br /> property af the City, not as penalty, but in liquidation of damages done. Award may be then rriade to <br /> the next lowest qualified bidder, or the work re-advertised and constructed under contract, or <br /> otherwise,as the City may decide. <br /> The Bidder �rants the Owner the right to hold the lowest three {3} Praposals received, <br /> together with the accompanying bid securities, for a period of 90 days after the date of opening af <br /> said Propasals. <br /> 20 <br />
