ADDITIONS AND <br /> CHAPTER 10 <br /> CITY MANAGER <br /> l. APPOINTMENT. The City Manager shall be appointed for an indefinite term, and <br /> shall be so appointed, or removed, by the Council by ordinance and shall take oath of office as <br /> provided by law. <br /> 2. ABSENCE OF MANAGER. During the temporary absence of the City Manager from <br /> the City, or the temporary inability of said manager to fulfill the duties of said office, the same <br /> shall be performed by such administrative officer of the City as may be designated by said <br /> manager. <br /> 3. AUTHORITY AND RESPONSIBILITY. The City Manager shall be the <br /> administrative head of the municipal government and shall be responsible for the administration <br /> of all departments thereof, and shall have and exercise all powers and duties of said office as may <br /> be provided by law or ordinance,and shall cause the enforcement of all laws and ordinances within <br /> the City, and otherwise administer the policies of the City as the same are determined by the <br /> Council. <br /> 4. ORGANIZATION AND RULES. In order to implement and carry out the powers <br /> and duties of said office, the City Manager may cause the various departments of the City to be <br /> organized and administered as he may from time to time deem appropriate, and may promulgate <br /> and cause to be enforced reasonable rules and regulations, not contrary to law or ordinance. <br /> Revised��09/2019 <br />
