Irons,Neighborhood Services Manager <br /> SUBJECT: <br /> Adoption and authorization of elcpenditures for FY19-20 Armual Action Plan CDBG and HOME Funds <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: <br /> Staffrecommends adoption of the FY19-20 Arn►ual Action Plan for CDBG and HOME funds. The U. S. Department of <br /> Housing and Urban Development reviewed and approved the City's Annual Acrion Plan for FY 19-20. This year's allocation <br /> includes$1,411,581 in Community Development Block Grant funds and$425,163 in HOME Investrnent Partnership funds. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> In accordance with the guidelines set forth by the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development(HiJD),the <br /> Neighborhood Services Division develops an Annual Action Plan. The Armual Action Plan describes funding allocations for <br /> Fiscal Year 2019-20 along with strategic implementation of the priorities identified in the City's Five Year Consolidated Plan, <br /> FY 2015-2019(see attached). The City Council reviewed and approved the CDBG and HOME funds during the adoption of <br /> the City's FY19 budget. <br /> The FY 19-20 Annual Action Plan is available for public review in three locations: Decatur Public Library,Decatur Housing <br /> Authority Administrative Office,and the Economic and Coiruliuuity Development Department. The final approved plan is <br /> available for review on the City's web site. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTIONS: Staffis not aware of objections. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: <br /> Comments and information were secured through public meetings and input from a variety of community organiza.tions. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Should the City Council have any questions,they may contact Richelle D.
