Getz Jr.,Chief of Police <br /> SUBJECT: Central Illinois Regional Dispatch Center(CIRDC)2020 Invoice <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: <br /> It is the recommendation of staff that the 2020 CIRDC armual invoice for dispatch services provided to the Decatur Police <br /> Departrnent and the Decatur Fire Department,at a total cost of$1,762,112.19,be approved and paid. The invoice is scheduled <br /> to be paid in quarterly installments in FY 2020. The breakdown of the 2020 invoice for user fees for the City of Decatur are as <br /> follows: <br /> Decatur Police Department $1,476,362.89 <br /> Decatur Fire Deparhnent $ 285,749.30 <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> On June 5, 2017,under Resolution 2017-76, the Council approved the City of Decatur entering into an Intergovemmental <br /> Agreement with the Central Illinois Regional Dispatch Center (CIIZDC) to begin providing dispatch services to the City of <br /> Decatur Police Department and Fire Department on January 1,2018. The CIRDC user fees are based on calls for service for <br /> each user agency. The Decatur Police Department and the Decatur Fire Deparhnent are the largest police and fire user agencies <br /> served by the CIRDC. <br /> PRIOR COUNCIL ACTION: <br /> There has been no prior Council action related to this invoice. The 2019 CIRDC invoice was approved under Resolution 2019- <br /> O1.Payments for FY 2020 reflect the original agreement's provisions. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTIONS: None Anticipated <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: None <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: James E.
