BASIC SERVICES <br /> A. STUDY AND REPORT PHASE. <br /> The Consulting Engineer shaii: <br /> l. Citv's Requirements. Review availabie data and consu]t wi#h the City's Representative to clarify <br /> and define the City's requirements for the Project. <br /> 2. Advise Re a� rding Additional Data. Advise the City's Representative as to the necessity afthe <br /> City`s providing Qr a6#aining from others data or services of the types described in Seetion V{C) <br /> in order to evaluate or complete the Project,and act as the City's representative in cannection <br /> with any such services. <br /> 3. Technical Analvsis. I'rovide analysis ofthe City's needs,planning surveys, s'rte evaluations, and <br /> eamparative stttdies af praspective sites and solutions. <br /> 4. Economic Analysis. Provide a generai economic analysis of the City's require�nents applicable to <br /> various alternatives in accordance with economic parameters and assurnptions provided by the <br /> City's Representativa. <br /> 5. Repart Pr�aration.Prepare a report�"S#udy Report")cantaining schernatic layouts,sketches and <br /> conceptual design criteria with appropriate exhibits to indicate clearIy the considerations invoEved <br /> and the alternative solutions available ta the City of Decatur. The Study Report shall alsa set <br /> farth the Consuiting Engineer's find'mgs and recomtnendations with opinians of probable casts <br /> for the Project, including construction eost,cantingencies, allowances for charges of all <br /> professianals and eonsultants,allo�vances for fhe cost of Iand and rights-of-way,altowances for <br /> the relocation of utility facilities and equipment if necessary,and compensation for or damages to <br /> praperties and interest and financing charges{aI1 of which are hereinafter called "Project Costs"). <br /> Specific requirements for the Study Report are included in E�chibit A, Scope af Services. <br /> 6. Re�ort Presentation. Furnish paper copies and digital copies of the Study Report in the nurnber <br /> and format specified in Exhibit A, Scope of Work,and present and review the Study Report in <br /> person with the City as the City's Representative shali direct. The cost of reproduction of the <br /> Study Report shall be considered a reirnbursable expense and paid in accordance with Section <br /> V(C)of this Agreement. <br /> 7. Campletion Time. The Study Report shatl be completed, submitted and accepted by�he City's <br /> Representative within the time period set forth in Exhibit C,Project Timeline. <br /> SECTION III.
