Brad Allen <br /> Subject: Council Resolution for Primary and Secondary Data Storage <br /> BRIEFING ITEM <br /> RECOMMENDED ACTION: <br /> Approve by resolution the payments to PRESIDIO and CDW-G for primary and secondary data <br /> storage needs for the Decatur Police Department BWC project. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> The Decatur Police Department will implement Body Worn Cameras (BWCs)to officers in <br /> 2020. The deployment of BWCs will increase the data storage needed to handle the number of <br /> videos produced, and to meet the state statue for video retention. It is estimated that 20OTB of <br /> useable space will fulfill the storage needs for 5 years. This request is for 20OTB of useable <br /> space at the primary storage layer and 20OTB of usable space at the secondary storage layer <br /> which will provide 100%data protection. <br /> ATTACHMENTS: <br /> Exhibit A—PRESIDIO bid <br /> Exhibit B—CDW-G bid <br />
