Irons,Neighborhood Services Manager SUBJECT: Resolution Authorizing Agreements with U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development(HUD)For CDBG&Home FY2020 Grant Funds RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends authorization of HUD's grant agreements for FY2020. This year's allocation includes $1,417,995 in Community Development Block Grant funds and$431,353 in HOME Investment Partnership funds. BACKGROUND: In accordance with the guidelines set forth by the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development(HUD),the Neighborhood Services Division develops a five-year Consolidated Plan. As part of the Consolidated Plan a one-year action plan is produced. The Annual Action Plan describes funding allocations for fiscal year 2020 along with strategic implementation of the priorities identified in the City's Consolidated Plan(see attached). The City Council reviewed and approved the CDBG and HOME funds during the adoption of the FY21 budget. POTENTIAL OBJECTIONS: Staff is not aware of objections. INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: Comments and information were secured through public meetings and input from residents and community organizations. BUDGET/TIME IMPLICATIONS: $1,849,348.00. This amount was anticipated and included in the recently adopted 2021 City Council budget.
