RESOLUTION NO. �7 RESOLUTION TO APPROPRIATE MOTOR FUEL TAX FUNDS FOR TRAFFIC SIGNAL MAINTENANCE AND STREET MAINTENANCE BY MUNICIPALITY UNDER THE ILLINOIS HIGHWAY CODE NOW THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR,ILLINOIS: Section 1. That there is hereby appropriated the sum of$728,000.00 of Motor Fuel Tax funds for the purpose of traffic signal maintenance,the purchase of concrete for street maintenance,the purchase of road salt, striping of City streets,the purchase of asphalt for street maintenance,and traffic signal cabinet maintenance for the City of Decatur,Illinois, from January 1, 2021 to December 31,2021. Section 2. That traffic signal maintenance, the purchase of concrete for street maintenance, the purchase of road salt, striping of City roads,the purchase of asphalt for street maintenance,traffic signal cabinet maintenance and operations as listed and described on the Municipal Estimate of Maintenance Costs,including supplemental or revised estimates approved in connection with this resolution, are eligible for maintenance with Motor Fuel Tax funds during the period as specified above. Section 3. That the Clerk shall,as soon as three(3)months after the close of the period as given above, submit to the Department of Transportation on forms furnished by said Department,a certified statement showing expenditures from and balances remaining in the account(s)for this period; and Section 4. That the Clerk shall immediately transmit two certified copies of original BLR 14222 forms, attached hereto as Exhibit A and made a part hereof, and transmit with two certified copies of this resolution to the district office of the Department of Transportation, at Effingham, Illinois.
