4/1/2021 Item Coversheet <br /> has approached the City with the possibility of a resolution to the sale of this property. To date,no response has been received on <br /> the City's counteroffer. The attached resolution requesting Quick Take will not stop any negotiations from continuing. <br /> Parcels 57a&57b: 3941 &4147 East Faries Parkway and 4000 East Logan Street <br /> Contact with the property owners began on July 28, 2020. Formal offers for the properties were received by the owner on <br /> December 3,2020. Numerous discussions have been conducted since that date and the owners have pressed that the property <br /> value is more than double the City's appraisal. No real progress has been made in the negotiations to date and phone calls are not <br /> being answered or returned. Although attempts at discussions will continue, in the interest of keeping the overall project on <br /> schedule,it is recommended that City staff be authorized to initiate condemnation proceedings and that the City Council request <br /> Quick Take authorization.
