4/1/2021 Item Coversheet <br /> fl <br /> Public Works <br /> DATE: 3/24/2021 <br /> MEMO: 2021-43 <br /> TO: Honorable Mayor Moore Wolfe and City Council Members <br /> FROM: Scot Wrighton,City Manager <br /> Matt Newell,Public Works Director <br /> Keith Alexander,Water Production Manager <br /> Deborah M.Perry,Purchasing Supervisor <br /> SUBJECT: Resolution Accepting the Bid Price of Bob Ridings Inc. for the Purchase of One (1)2022 Ford F-250 Pickup <br /> Truck with a Lift Gate and Snow Plow. <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends awarding a contract in the amount of$43,165.00 to Bob Ridings Ford <br /> Ford,Inc.for one(1)2022 Ford F-250 Super Crew Cab,4-wheel drive pickup truck with a rear lift gate and snow plow. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> The City of Decatur Water Production Division has requested one(1)new vehicle to replace one(1)2006 Ford F-250 Pickup <br /> Truck due to its age and condition. <br /> The vehicle being replaced is: One 2006 Ford F-250 Regular Cab,4-wheel drive pickup with a rear lift gate, snow plow and has <br /> 171,782 miles. <br /> The replacement vehicle is estimated to be delivered in 90-120 days. <br /> DISPOSAL OF REPLACED UNITS:The replaced vehicle will be recycled to replace the vehicle listed below after the new <br /> vehicle is put in service. <br /> The vehicle being recycled out is a 2006 F-250 regular cab pickup with 171,782 miles in poor condition. <br /> This vehicle will be sold or auctioned. <br /> OTHER BIDDERS:None. <br /> LEGAL REVIEW: There are no contracts for Legal to review. <br /> PRIOR COUNCIL ACTION: None. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTIONS: There are no known objections. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: <br /> Fleet Maintenance wrote bid specifications based Water Production Division requirements. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Matthew Newell,Public Works Director,Dan Mendenall Municipal Services Manager.Matt Newell will <br /> be in attendance to answer any questions.
